Overview

MCD partnered with CommerceCX to shape their product and corporate strategy, launching ScaleFluidly as a new CommerCX startup entity. Together, we envisioned and built their CPQ sales platform from the ground up. This SaaS solution removed ERP and CRM dependencies, significantly reducing implementation costs, timelines, and operational friction. By designing a simple and lightweight system ready for immediate SaaS use, MCD worked as an extension of CommerCX’s team to address the challenges of costly CPQ setups.

The Challenge

Traditional B2B quote-to-cash workflows are severely bottlenecked by legacy CPQ architectures that require expensive, complex backend integrations. During our initial assessment, we discovered that these heavy CRM and ERP dependencies directly trigger the three primary pain points plaguing the industry: exorbitant software implementation costs, ballooning deployment timelines that delay market entry, and extreme operational friction that forces sales field reps to toggle between disconnected tools or resort to error-prone offline spreadsheets to bypass system lag. To unlock a massive market adoption opportunity, CommerCX wanted to spin off the ScaleFluidly CPQ Platform as a completely independent, standalone SaaS application. By entirely removing the heavy legacy backend tax, they aimed to deliver a lean, fast, and highly cost-effective transactional layer that businesses could deploy instantly without an army of IT consultants.

Simple & Sleek User Interface

To maximize speed and slash user adoption friction, MCD stripped away typical enterprise multi-step menus and engineered an all-in-one screen architecture driven by a Scalable, API-Based Framework. This ensures seamless integration with modern technology stacks while operating entirely independently of rigid backend monoliths.

The platform uses a self-contained system that runs 10 times faster than traditional CPQ tools because it does not rely on slow backend databases. Everything happens on a single page, allowing sales reps to choose products, set pricing rules, add bundles, and apply discounts with instant visual updates. Instead of sending a static PDF, the platform creates a live, secure web link where buyers and reps can chat, negotiate terms, and sign the contract on the spot using built-in digital signatures.

Go-To-Market

MCD collaborated Sales strategy to focuses on a core value proposition of "Zero Setup. Immediate Sales." This directly appeals to mid-market companies and agile sales teams who want a high-velocity system without paying massive software implementation fees. Because the platform works beautifully as a standalone asset without integration work, sales leaders can bypass long IT procurement cycles with a "No-IT-Required" channel. This is paired with a product-led onboarding framework, offering a live sandbox experience where an independent sales rep can sign up and generate a professional, accurate quote in minutes.

It eliminates backend ERP and CRM implementation costs, enabling end clients to save up to 80% on upfront setup costs, while dropping average quote-to-cash turnaround times in minutes. This 10x faster performance, paired with automated inline guardrails, eliminates configuration conflicts entirely, allowing sales teams to safely accelerate deals and capture revenue faster without needing formal software training.
